Great Escape Is Looking For Bands Weds, 26th Sept 2007

In just two years, The Great Escape has established itself both as the leading event in Europe for showcasing new talent from around the world, and as one of the most exciting events on the festival calendar. The Great Escape 2006 saw The Fratellis, The Klaxons, The Kooks and The Gossip go on to sell millions of records. Highlights of The Great Escape 2007 were Jack Penate, Patrick Watson, The Maccabees, The Pigeon Detectives and Kate Nash, with Brighton’s larger capacity venues on board showcasing even bigger bands than the previous year. The event sold out in advance. In 2008 ChCh music stalwart Cary Caldwell is helping run the festival and is on the lookout for NZ bands.
