HOW TO RELEASE A RECORD INDEPENDENTLY
Yes its that time of year again and hasn't it come around quickly. The MMF October Sessions 2007 will be held on Sunday 28th October at the Winchester Bar on St Benedicts St, Newton, Auckland. This year, Christchurch managers heading up for the sessions will focus on "How to release a record independently" and will include the following seminars...

* Recording/Reproduction - Recording Demos, Production, Mixing /Mastering, NZ On Air, Duplication, Artwork, Budgeting

* Marketing and Promotion Plans - Timelines, How to write a marketing plan, promotion schedules, Press Releases, media training, Interview Skills, Press Photos, Working with the media

* Distribution and Digital - Distribution Deals, Digital Distributors

* Live Shows & Touring - Planning a tour, tour budgets, logistics, booking shows, Tour Promotion,

BIG DAY OUT PITCH
Following on from the success of last year, where 5 MMF bands made a succesful pitch, the MMF would like to once again offer MMF members the chance to pitch their artists to Big Day Out organisers. Members will be given the exclusive opportunity of a one-on-one meeting with Barry Blackler from the Big Day Out Office.
