and NZ Music Month present a showcase of Christchurch talent at the first Unplugged Series: Brent Black and Friends at The Civic on Saturday, 5 May.
Brent Black and Friends is a magical night of unplugged and acoustic entertainment. Featuring a wide range of local musicians from different generations, this concert will be a 'not to be missed' memorable and special night.
Brent Black and Friends will be a fine night of New Zealand music, set within an intimate, wine and candle light atmosphere.
The line up includes a special reformation of Christchurch monster rockers Pumpkinhead, who will deliver a trip down memory lane with a more subtle unplugged approach. Also performing on the night is the resident Icelandic songbird Hera, The Grenell Family featuring Oakley and Mea, and indie country swaggerer, Aeneas Jones. Fleur-de-lis and Vaughan will perform Dialtones unplugged, and The Valves, who are about to release their second video for NZ Music Month, will team up with famed sound engineer Guybanez. Finally, bringing up the rear is Al Park. The night will also feature an orchestral accompaniment as well as a some classic covers and not to be missed solos and interesting combinations of the artists. The finale will be a group effort with all the artists involved.
