TV2 series “Brothers and Sisters”Features ChCh Music 10th October 2007

Christchurch artists Dukes and Flip Grater have songs included in the hit television property “Brothers and Sisters” that stars Sally Field, Calista Flockhart, Rachel Griffiths and Rob Lowe. Native Tongue Music Publishing represents both Dukes and Flip and secured placement for both artists. Dukes’ song "Mornin’” appears in episode 19 "Bad News" and is one of only two songs used in the episode. Flip Grater's "Long Awaited Sigh" is used in the first series finale "Matriarchy" alongside songs from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Counting Crows and Nina Simone. Both episodes will screen on TV2 in the next few weeks.
In recent months several Native Tongue writers have had songs used in US series including Pitch Black (CSI Miami), The Bads (The Unit, Kylie XY) and Gasoline Cowboy (The Truth) while Greg Johnson and The Veils have both had songs used in a new UK series titled Echo Beach / Moving Wallpaper.
In addition, a variety of Native Tongue's writers have had songs placed in NZ series such as "Outrageous Fortune" and the second series of "Here To Stay" plus Australian series "City Homicide" and "East of Everywhere".
Native Tongue's latest signing is one of New Zealand's most successful pop artists Goldenhorse whose third album "Reporter" is released October 29.
