Earthdance Comes To ChCh 30th August 2007

Earthdance International is the world’s largest synchronized global dance and music festival that unites over 350 locations in 60 counties to support humanitarian causes and world peace.
The date is 16th September in Christchurch, with the rest of the world
starting on the Saturday. As the first country to meet the new day organisers Massive have decided to move the date to the Sunday to be more synchronized with the US and Europe.
This year they have permission to hold the concert at Thomson’s Park on Marine Parade, North Brighton with music provided by Ed Muzik and Tom Cosm amongst others to be confirmed.
Massive have been holding the only official New Zealand Earthdance for six years. They have held the traditionally afternoon concerts in Hagley Park next to Albert Lake, Victoria Park war memorial, in an alley way down High St and combined it with their Equinox event.
Please check out www.earthdance.org for details. There are pictures from previous Earthdance events at www.massivenz.com. The concert is also an opportunity for political candidates to meet locals in a relaxed, friendly manner, one that isn’t about them preaching. So in a more simple format. Gig.
