The Cookbook Tour By Flip Grater
24th July 2007

flip_grater_cookbooktour.jpg

In 2006 singer-songwriter Flip Grater went on an epic tour of New Zealand to promote her debut album Cage For A Song. Travelling the length and breadth of the country in her trusty 1988 Lada station wagon, she sang for her supper in small towns and big cities, blagging  accommodation, food and – most importantly – recipes along the way. With a cast of unusual characters, this book is the ultimate cookbook-slash-tour diary, and a snapshot of Kiwi subculture punctuated by 47 delicious recipes.

Flip Grater has marked her place as an exciting newcomer to the New Zealand music scene... and now she is launching herself as an author with The Cookbook Tour.  Flip has created a book that explores and celebrates music, food, travel and a woman’s relationship with her car. The book is being self-published by Flip through her own label, Maiden Records and  is being launched AUGUST 10th.

The Cookbook Tour will be available online through www.thecookbooktour.com,  Real Groovy stores and in selected cafes nationwide.

Flip will launch the book with The Cookbook Tour Book Launch Tour in August.
