Pig Out Update Sept/Oct 07
5th October 2007

Pig Out begin their final series of European shows* in London next Friday. The acclaimed Magic Circle club night at The Egg showcases the best underground electronic acts as well as established names from labels such as K7, Tigersushi, Kitsune and Ed Banger. The following night Pig Out perform alongside Roisin Murphy (Moloko) producer Seiji aka Bugz in the Attic at Naumon, one of the most infamous party venues in Europe, a club within a boat docked in Barcelona harbour. After Hallowe'en in New York the band return to spend summer recording and touring NZ/Australia.

Club Poems and BAK 2 XTACY RUSH have been flying out of stores in London after being championed by staff at Rough Trade and a video for Charmed Life taken from Pig Out's Australian import ep BAK 2 XTACY RUSH is being shot for November release. To celebrate their nomination in four categories at the 2007 b.net awards - including best album (Club Poems ) - the band are working on reconfigured versions of familiar album tracks to play alongside new material during their summer shows

Pig Out's b.net nominations can be viewed at http://www.bnet.co.nz

Upcoming:
London - The Egg - Oct 12
Barcelona - Naumon - Oct 13
Berlin - tbc - Oct
New York - tbc - Oct
Auckland - Coherent - Nov 9

*Pig Out's desire to separate themselves from the ubiquitous Abelton live setup appears to be as unique in Europe as in NZ. The band recently completed a marathon four hour set  at the legendary Berlin techno club The Villa with their usual hardware rig to the astonishment of the club owners, and a percentage of the dance floor, some of whom had presumed it could only be an epic dj set running off a laptop!
