RDU98.5FM Dux de Lux RoundUp 2007
September 2007

Christchurch's hottest band competiton was held in the Tavern Bar of the Dux during September 2007, with the Final held on Saturday September 29th.

They came, they fought and they conquered. The Dux-de-Lux RounDUp 2007 competition winners Bang! Bang! Eche! delivered an outstanding finals performance and now they, like so many luminaries before them, are well and truly on the path to greatness. The 2007 title was fiercely contended, with each of the finalist bands filling the Dux-de-Lux with their supporters (including parents). A Flight to Blackout, Frankly Mauve, The Deceivers and the O’Lovelys each wallowed expertly in their 25 minutes of glory and impressed the judges with their various on-stage antics (some musical).

The announcement of the winner, was conducted Survivor (Thailand edition)-style. As each band’s torch was extinguished by the Semi-Tribal Bowl, excitement grew, and in an explosion of confetti canons and sky-punching, Bang Bang Eche!’s flame was left to burn on into the evening (and the curtains). They then began their descent into the throng of fan and photographer attention that will, no doubt, characterize their collective existence for years to come.
