SAMP2 – STAGE TIMES NOW AVAILABLE + INFO ON WHAT’S HAPPENING ON THE DAY! 
It’s creeping up folks less than 4 weeks to go!! BIG NEWS for this week is that the STAGE LINE-UPS and PERFORMANCE TIMES have now been confirmed and published and are listed now on the “MAPS/TIMES” page of the Southern Amp website. You can plan your day, make a note of who you want to see and work out when to fit in time for drinks, lunch, drinks, dinner and general rampant fun!
 
If you or your mates haven’t got your tickets yet these are now moving fast and competition opportunities are running out. Don’t wait until show day as it’ll cost you more and you’ll probably have to queue. Get down to a TICKETEK or REAL GROOVY outlet, call the ticket hotline on 03-377 8899 or log into www.ticketek.co.nz and search ‘southern amp’ now! There will be a weekly newsletter now with new details every week so keep logged on to Southern Amp and we’ll keep you informed.

The FULL VENUE SITE MAP will be posted on the website next week in a downloadable PDF format (along with the stage times) so you can print off and keep with you + we’ll have some punter tips, general hoo-hah and other info available as well so check in with the website every other day and you’ll be sorted for your Southern Amp day out. 

Some sneak previews of what will be there on the day though apart from the music:

- A fully operational SPEIGHT’S ALE HOUSE (just like the one that has just been shipped to London…) - The SPEIGHT’S GAMES area including lots of muscle-man challenges and general silly stuff - The VODAFONE red tent with FREE mobile phone charging banks, games, mobile promotions & music downloads!

- The CORUBA GOLD EXPERIENCE, a fully operational indoor ‘nightclub’ complete with red carpet..!

- THE EDGE SIGNING TENT, get your favourite artists’ autographs and get your pics.

- THE ROCK has got something special planned and won’t tell us yet… Hmmm!

- C4 TV will be roaming around grabbing punter comments, so get yer face on TV!

- Awesome RIDES including The Round Up, Kamikaze and the Southern Amp Ferris Wheel to keep you pumped.

- A BIG merchandise area with all your official event and band merchandise.

- Various stalls selling all sorts of interesting stuff from badges to glow sticks.

- LOTS & LOTS of bars, food stalls and loads of toilets, real ones, not portaloos!! - There will be EFTPOS available at some of the bars but to be sure and to avoid cash queues bring cash with you!  More stuff next week, here’s a few things to look out for and a couple of reminders:

SPEIGHT’S “GET AMP’D” PROMOTIONS – These are running throughout the South Island at various bars and liquor stores during October with fab prizes like hoodies, t-shirts and $10 vouchers off your Southern Amp ticket price + the chance to win the grand prize of flights/accom and tickets to Southern Amp. COMPETITIONS – if you’re one of those punters who enter every competition to get free tickets and haven’t managed to score yet check out – www.coke.co.nz, www.eventfinder.co.nz, also The Rock, The Edge, The Press and 91ZM all have some final month promos happening in most regions so check their websites and you’ll find the details.

CANTERBURY UNI STUDENTS SPECIAL OFFER – For any Canterbury Uni students, The Junction ticketing outlet at UCSA is offering a FREE S-AMP 2005 T-shirt offer with every Southern Amp 2 ticket bought during October. Stocks are limited so if you are a Canty student and haven’t got your ticket yet, October is a good month to do it.  That’s it for this week folks, 25 days to go until the first major event of the summer!  See you all at AMI Stadium on Saturday 10th November… You’ll regret it if you’re not there.
