What We Are Going To Do?

To create and advocate for an environment that ensures the sustainable growth and development of the Christchurch music industry.

CHART's core focus is to initiate and oversee projects that deliver non-partisan support to the music industry in Christchurch that will generate and sustain economic and employment growth.

With the help of public and private financial support, CHART works collaboratively with music businesses, individual artists and music industry professionals on a variety of projects that are strategically focussed around Infrastructure, Promotion, Live Performance, Training, Quality Product, Support Services and Technology to help develop the capability of the local talent base in Christchurch.

Some of CHART’s key objectives are to:

a) Ensure professional development opportunities are available in Christchurch;

b) Provide education, advice and knowledge about resources available to the Christchurch music industry;

c) Create a centralised entity for Christchurch music;

d) Initiate and/or support music industry projects that will help to increase industry growth, employment and business sustainability in Christchurch.

CHART is currently seeking funding (see below) to help co-ordinate various music industry capability focussed projects. If you'd like to help, please contact us for more information.
