RDU has unleashed RoundUp 2008 on an unsuspecting public; the beast of a band competition is growing more formidable every year. In the 5 years since its inception RoundUp has spawned a plethora of Christchurch’s musical elite, included in the hallowed halls of RoundUp glory are The Tiger Tones, Bang! Bang! Eche!, Slipstream and The Undercurrents, Shapeshifter, The O’Lovelies, The Deceivers, The Insurgents, Heavy Jones Trio and P Bass Expressway.

VENUE:

This year, RoundUp coincide with the 30th Birthday of the Dux de Lux. The Dux de Lux won New Zealand Bar of the Year in 2006 and is an institution in the New Zealand music scene. It is also Christchurch’s leading showcase for contemporary New Zealand music featuring a weekly line up of new music every week for more years than anyone can remember. Located in downtown Christchurch, RounDUp & Decknology 2008 will take over the entire 2500 person capacity complex and entertain our neighbourhood with Christchurch’s freshest music.
