Thompson Park, Marine Parade, New Brighton, Christchurch
Sunday 14 September, 1pm - 5pm. A FREE CONCERT, supported by Creative Communities.
Christchurch becomes one of many locations in many countries united through music and dance in celebration of peace. A new group, the Catalyst Music Trust is organising the Christchurch event which is part of a world wide synchronised concert being held in over 150 cities world wide. Come and hear local bands Kowhai, Locean and Rare Shot Blue plus a set by Orkid. Bring your friends, Frisbees, fun attitude and leave the alcohol and rubbish at home please. Save Animals from Exploitation will be holding a vegetarian BBQ and other community groups are invited to be involved.
This event is weather dependant and if it is really grey, cold, wet or not the sort of weather you’d like to sit on the grass and chill, well chances are it is cancelled, because we don’t like setting up in shitty weather for no one to turn up. Tune into RDU, 98.5 fm or www.rdu.org.nz for an update on the day.
