A new intensive evening course is available in Christchurch New Zealand over two weeks from 29 September - 10 October, 2008.

Emerging artists will find out what elements make or break a career in the Arts.
Established artists examine the aspects of current practice that hold back their progress.
How do you define success in the Arts?
Whatever you hope to achieve as an artist, the FUSE course can remove barriers and provide information and resources.

The following topics listed will be addressed in ten week nights. A combination of lecture and workshop sessions will be delivered in association with CPIT (Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology)

Financial Matters - the business side of being an artist

Time Is Money - pricing art practices and preparation for growth

The Fine Art Of Schmoosing - representing yourself and your art profession in person

Funding And Sponsorship Strategies - successful proposals, and art commissions

An Art Focused Business Plan - documentation and career planning

A Holistic Approach - identifying creative cycles and visualisation
