Simply JP offers her skills and knowledge in a two hour vocals workshop as part of the NZ International Jazz & Blues Festival.

American gospel, blues and jazz singers are a rare treat in Christchurch, but Simply JP – described as ‘A Black Rose Ever So Sweet’ is one of the best.

Like an organic punctuation mark, whether it is pop, jazz or the blues, Simply JP brings to the stage her life’s appreciation and dashingly flares of expression in music. The statuesque and charismatic singer combines her musical background in A capella singing, gospel, blues and jazz to create an unforgettable performance live. She has toured the world and shared the stage with such notable artists as Ronnie Milsap, Etta James, Willie Nelson, Michael Bolton, the late jazz singer Phyllis Hyman and Betty Carter.
