Navigate-09, Christchurch’s premier Mäori Careers Event to be held on the 13th of August 2009 at Nga Hau e Wha, the National Marae on Pages Road in Christchurch.

An all day & night event, Navigate-09 is designed to be interactive, with students participating in workshops with providers and industry representatives as well as listening to an inspirational guest speaker. It is this interactive experience that differentiates Navigate from traditional career expos/events.

The aim is to highlight through Navigate-09 the links between subject selection, career choice and culture by:

(1) providing an environment for Mäori students to talk openly about their career & personal goals;
(2) showing the links between subject selection, tertiary study and industry; and
(3) highlighting the connections between Mäori culture, education, career & personal success.
