16th June 2008 - Press Release
Three of New Zealand’s most exciting live acts have joined forces for a nationwide tour that will banish any winter blues. The Checks, The Electric Confectionaires and Christchurch's Dukes take to the road from June 28 on their ‘Wild and Woolly Tour 2008’.
Presented by ZM Radio, the tour kicks off at the foot of Mount Ruapehu where they play the great, cold outdoors at Ohakune’s Mardis Gras Festival. A quick detour to Queenstown’s for separate gigs during winter festival then heaters on for the drive to Canterbury and scarfed-up shows in Timaru, Christchurch and Methven.
Hats are off for an all ages show at the sunshine city of Nelson at the re-opened youth music venue, The New Hub, before hitting Wellington, Palmerston North and a warm homecoming in Auckland. Tauranga and Napier complete the run.
