THE EASTERN
The Eastern promise to deliver a haymaker of footstomp folk, 12 round rock' n'roll, brokeheart blues, and old time harmony all with a little country kick. They bring… Backpacks full of road songs, battered acoustics and no name electrics, banjo and glockenspiel, mandolin, harmonica, foot stomps and old time singing, straight from the gut, the fist and the heart… Strummer/Jones, Morrissey/Marr, the Hanks Chinaski and Williams, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Devlin, Memphis and myth, the south from Gore to the Cargill and back...catch The Eastern before they leave our Christchurch winter for the U.S.A.

Sunburn
Sunburn formed in 2005, and comprise members Shannon (Vox), Danny (Guitar), Johnny (Bass), and Josh (Drums). Their energetic sound features fantastic pop vocals, driving riffs and tight arrangements. Their debut EP 'Lighting A Match' released in April 2007, has been well received and showcases their talented song writing ability Sunburn are a young Christchurch pop/rock band destined for big things

Weekend Warriors Open Day
Weekend Warriors is New Zealand’s most exciting music programme getting enthusiastic rockers back into performing in bands.
Ultimately, the Weekend Warriors “Get Back” Band Programme allows participants to indulge in their love of playing live music in a band, have a great time and make new friends. The programme runs over several months and rehearsals are held for two hours each week. At the end of the rehearsal programme your band will play a gig at a local venue for friends, family, work mates and fellow Warriors.
This will be an open day to ask any questions you may have about the Weekend Warriors band programme and see some of the great bands from previous sessions performing live instore.
