Sleepy Age win RounDUp 2009

roundup 200918th September 2009
Congratulations to the winners of the 2009 RounDUp comp, Sleepy Age. With influences from The Pixies and The Mystery Jets the four piece include former members of previous national Rockquest winners Neil Robinson, Bang Bang Eche and The Insurgents culminating in one of Christchurch's hottest indie supergroups. It was a tightly contested competition with Sleepy Age only fractionally winning the title on the narrowest point margin from the tied second place getters - the youthful country stylings of The Unfaithful Ways and the slamming rock of T54.

From here Sleepy Age jump in to the studio the day after the comp and the prizes just keep on coming.

Also, another congrats goes out to Miles McDougall for his musical project Pikachunes winning the Best Demo
competition for his track 'Fire'. He's off to Auckland to spend some time in the Red Bull studios with well-known producer, Recloose. Not to mention a years supply of Red Bull...

And check out the vids from the finals night on the RDU YouTube channel.
