Welcome back Amp-heads… all of us at Southern Amp bid you all a huge big 2008 welcome (little bit late…) and we hope life is sweet! We thought we’d get the absolutely mental summer of endless great gigs out of the way before we wrote to ya. Respect to Big Day Out, Ragamuffin, Rhythm & Vines, Rippon, Rock2Wgtn and loads of others for putting on some major live music over the last few months.

It’s been a loud & live summer of sounds that’s just about over apart from Vodafone Homegrown in Wellington on Saturday 26th April. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, too late, it’s now sold out! The next major festival event on the 2008 NZ calendar will be Southern Amp in Christchurch! So this is a short one to get you folks back into the Southern groove…

Here’s the date for Southern Amp 08: Sunday 9th November. Put it in your diary NOW! That’s all we can tell you at the moment apart from the fact it’ll be in Christchurch and this year we’ll have some international acts coming in. You guys will get to hear about it all first so that’s another reason to stay tuned…

There’s a chance to win some stuff… We have a few limited numbers left of the official Southern Amp 2007 T-shirts to give away so if you missed out or ran out of cash on the day, here’s your chance to grab a fresh new untouched & still folded SAmp2 Tee. Here’s what you need to do…

Invite 6 of your mates to sign up to the Southern Amp database at www.southernamp.co.nz – they will need to sign up themselves or agree for you to sign up for them.

Email all 6 of their EMAIL ADDRESSES only, to - info@southernamp.co.nz - with the words “S-AMP NAMES” in the email title box.

At the end of April, we’ll check their email addresses are in the database and will draw 10 winners of SAmp2007 official t-shirts. We’ll email all winners for postal address details, sizes, etc. It’s that easy!

Being on the database will give you all the chance for special offers, ticket competitions, etc, etc. It’s the best way to get first-hand information on Southern Amp before anyone else so if you’re gonna be at S-AMP-08 you are gonna need to be signed up!
