Southern Amp, the multi stage, live music extravaganza is being held on Sunday November 9th. The third staging of the South Island’s biggest music festival will take place at Westpac Arena Festival Park in Christchurch from 12.30pm.

EARLYBIRD TICKETS - EXCLUSIVE OFFER!
Announcements will be made nationwide on The Rock & The Edge breakfast shows on Thursday 24th July at 7.30am and via the Southern Amp website database. Capacity is limited this year so the first release of tickets will be an EARLYBIRD SPECIAL at $79.50 (excl booking fees) - the same earlybird price as last year.

CHART PRESENTS THE NZ MUSIC INDUSTRY STAGE
As plans continue to unfold for the staging of Southern Amp 2008 in November, CHART – The Christchurch Music Industry Trust is pleased to announce the application details for Christchurch artists to apply to perform at this year’s event on the newly created CHART NZ Music Stage. SUNDAY 9 NOV
Once again Southern Amp will be held at the start of NZ Cup & Show Week, the busiest week on the Canterbury calendar. The festival site is being specially designed to be constructed on the grounds surrounding the existing Westpac Arena to comprise 3 fully-covered live music stages, a bunch of thrill rides, a live music lounge hosted by Vodafone, guitar workshops, a buskers’ stage, an outdoor market and plenty of bars & food stalls.
