New Zealand website for digital entertainment including music & music video downloads, ringtones, move trailers & electronic gear. The first and only full-catalogue music download website in NZ with content from all 4 major record companies - Universal, SonyBMG, EMI & Warner Music, as well as 40 other local and international labels.

iTunes.co.nz (AAC)
The NZ iTunes Store opened on 6 Dec 2006 and has a catalogue of over two million songs. Buy music, pixarshort films, games, and audiobooks, or download free podcasts from the iTunes Store 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Organize and play everything on your Mac or PC. Then sync it to your iPod and bring it along. Anywhere.
Music purchased from the iTunes Music Store (aac format) will play on the iPod range of players and on Windows or Mac computers (see below for specs). Cost per track is $1.79 and per album is $17.99. iTunes Music Store NZ currently requires a credit card to make a purchase. Gift cards that do not require credit cards are now available. iTunes encodes its tracks in protected aac (Apple) format (.m4p) at 128kbps and 44.100kHz. iPods will play aac, aiff, apple lossless, mp3 and wav files. RipIt.co.nz (WMA)
The RipIt Music Store is where you can legally discover, download and buy music online. Select songs and music videos from a huge catalogue and purchase your selection as a 'digital music download' to store and play with great quality sound on your PC. Music purchased from the RipIt site (WMA format) will play on the Windows Media Compatible range of portable players and on Windows computers. Microsoft Internet Explorer is needed to access the website. Cost per track is $1.89 with a specials section of $0.99 tracks. The per album price is $16.90. RipIt requires a credit card or a prepaid voucher (available from all Dick Smith Electronics stores) to make a purchase. RipIt encodes its tracks in DRM protected WMV format.

Telecom Music Store (WMA to PC and AAC+ to Mobile)
Telecom Music Store is a Telecom NZ branded digital music service for the New Zealand mobile market, offering international and local content from all four major labels as well as a significant number of independent labels and artists. Consumers can purchase and download tracks directly to their mobile phones, with a second (WMA) copy of the track made available for downloading to their PC using the Web Store.

TxtTunes.com (MP3)
Setup by Brad carter from Steriogram, TxtTunes is a non-exclusive online music community that lets artists individually set up and maintain their own music store. Fans can pay you for a song with a txt message. Support independent music. Pay by TXT, download MP3 files to your phone/PC. Plays on all MP3 players including the iPod. Songs cost $1.25. When you pay by txt, you incur a txt charge of $0.75. Txt Tunes is currently in beta. More info coming soon.

There are over 500,000 full music tracks to choose from with Vodafone Music. Vodafone's dual delivery means that whenever customers buy a track they receive two files – one for their pc and one for their mobile. Customers can choose to purchase dual delivery Full Music Tracks either from the Vodafone Music site or through Vodafone live! on their mobile. No matter which method they choose, the track is delivered to both devices. Vodafone music also offers ringtones and music video downloads plus loads of promotions and special offers.
